Blacksmithing Weekend will feature blacksmiths from across New York State demonstrating traditional tool and hardware making. Blacksmithing demonstrations will take place in the 1827 Field Blacksmith Shop and throughout the Historic Village. A skilled blacksmith and farrier will be shoeing horses as well. Families, scout groups, amateur blacksmiths, and anyone interested in seeing traditional craft at work are invited to come spend the day. Families are invited to join the scavenger hunt, ride the carousel and enjoy a demonstration from Jackson DuBois. Kids will find fun at the activity table complete with tavern puzzles, coloring and testing their skills with model clay.Are you a blacksmith interested in joining us?
