Join Adam Dauer Blacksmith for a blacksmithing demonstration at the historic Kiesling House. Dauer has been a blacksmith for over 5 years and feels that blacksmithing is a lost trade. He is a New Ulm native and graduated from New Ulm Public high school in 2010. Afterwards, visit the Kiesling House to learn about early pioneer settlement, customs and traditions of area immigrants and events, like the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862, that shaped New Ulm.
