Black women are tired.
Come rest, sis.
Join us at the Harlem Theatre for an afternoon of showing up for yourself in a very tangible way -- by taking a nap! Black women are increasingly diagnosed with stress-related health concerns because do not prioritize sleep and other aspects of our well-being. Rest is indeed resistance, so here is our chance to collectively heal our bodies through sleep.
Bring a mat and a blanket & pillow (and maybe your bonnet, too) and get ready to drift off into dreamland surrounded by a community of like-minded sistas.
SPACE IS LIMITED TO 20 WOMEN PER EVENT.
NOTE: This event is for Black women only. Nap time will be silent and device-free. If you are unable to sleep, meditation & silent reading are acceptable. Sleeping will occur on the floor, so please bring a mat or blanket with the level of cushion for your specific needs.
