About this Event
J oin BWYC in Brooklyn for our Black Spring Healing Circle hosted by Mel Douglas!
This workshop will feature:
- 50-min restorative yoga flow designed to leave you feeling grounded, relaxed, and connect to your body
- 1 0-minute healing sound bath and meditation
- a guided community conversation with a supportive community of Black people focused on themes of growth, grounding, and abundance in the Spring season
- panel discussion with Black wellness leaders
- wellness goodie bag for all attendees
Light snacks and beverages will be served. Bring your own yoga mat, any props you might need for practice, and a water bottle.
Anyone who identifies as Black is welcome to attend this event.
M eet Mel Douglas
Mel Douglas is a yoga instructor, wellbeing advocate, content creator, and the founder of the Black Women's Yoga Collective. With 400+ hours of training, teaches yoga to empower herself and serve others in accessing their own power.
BWYC is the product of her love for black women, yoga, and community. Mel believes that everyone deserves access to wellness and that healing is a radical act. It is her hope that we can uplift each other and connect for a higher purpose as a community
