About this Event

Embrace winter, get moving, and connect with community at our Let’s Move: Cross-Country Ski Event! ❄️⛷️ Join us on February 21 from 9:45am–12:00pm for a refreshing outdoor experience that blends movement, nature, and community connection in partnership with Kanata Nordic Ski Club’s We All Belong community program.

----

Introduction to cross-country skiing: This session includes all the ski equipment you need (boots, poles, skis) and access to the trail network and is lead by Kanata Nordic’s knowledgeable volunteers. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE!

No experience required! We’ll start with basic technique tips then head out for some fun and games on the trails.

Dress warmly (toque, gloves or mitts, warm socks) but you will warm up so layers that you can unzip are good. For pants, wear something that doesn’t hold snow, like nylon track pants or rain pants (not jeans) with long underwear underneath if possible.

Pack a water bottle since there is no running water on site. We recommend not carrying anything while skiing except a small backpack or waist-pack if you like. Washrooms are porta-potties. There’s a small cabin to warm up in but we’ll be outside most of the time.

Light snacks will be provided at the end.

Come move with us—winter is better together. ❄️
