About this Event

Did the Navarro family enslave people? Did slavery exist during San
Antonio's colonial times? During Mexico's rule? Did Navarros play key
roles in the history of slavery in Texas? What happened after Juneteenth?
At the invitation of Casa Navarro, St. Mary's University students embarked on a quest
to find answers.
