About this Event
Join us for Coco Coalition Presents, Black Mothers Matter 2025: Nurturing Space for Grief & Resilience, a yearly gathering held during Black Maternal Health Week to highlight Black mothers' challenges and needs. This event brings together mothers and sister-friends from the Coco network who serve as invaluable resources to our community.
This year's event will be a lakeside chat featuring a panel of professionals and mothers sharing insights on key topics impacting Black motherhood. This space is designed to foster open discussion, Q&A, and community resource sharing, all within a supportive and healing environment.
This will be a casual and intimate gathering to explore the healing legacies of doulas, the power of communal support, and the spectrum of grief that black mothers and those longing to be mothers experience. Black doulas and therapists will guide the conversation, offering a space for rest, connection, and healing.
While this event is free of charge, we ask attendees to consider donating at least $15 to help sustain and grow this vital space. Light refreshments will be provided.
This is an outdoor event, so please bring a blanket or lawn chair for your comfort.
This event is intended for those who identify as Black women and are mothers or those who have experienced challenges in pursuing motherhood. This space is not intended for children.
We look forward to holding space with you!
