Blues with grit, groove, and zero rules — Black Market III is a powerhouse roots-rock outfit that refuses to be pigeonholed. With the blues as their backbone, BMIII fuses soul, roots rock, Latin flavor, and straight-ahead rock into a sound that’s raw, rhythmic, and unmistakably their own.
After years of relentless touring across the U.S. and Europe, the band made waves with their album Dashboard Jesus, which debuted at #24 on the Roots Music Report, earned a San Diego Music Awards nomination for Best Blues Album, and spawned the hit single “Daddy Rollin’ Stone,” reaching #4 on the RMR Top 50. When the world slowed down in 2020, BMIII didn’t — they wrote and released their sixth album, Soul Survivor, proving their name couldn’t be more fitting.
Known for electrifying live shows, Black Market III blends killer originals with deep-cut covers from artists like Tom Waits, Freddie King, Betty Harris, Tom Petty, Social Distortion, Led Zeppelin, and more.
