Celebrate National STEAM Day with us as we honour Black innovators in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) on November 8th, 2024 from 2:00PM - 5:00PM MST at The Alcove Centre for the Arts! This exciting event is a day full of engaging activities, inspiring stories, and hands-on learning experiences for participants of all ages.
Explore five interactive booths, each dedicated to a groundbreaking Black innovator. Discover their contributions and enjoy engaging hands-on experiments that make science and creativity come alive. These activities are designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of thinkers and creators. In addition to the booths, we’ll feature a powerful fireside chat with Calgary’s own innovators. Listen to their experiences, insights, and stories of overcoming challenges in their fields. This is a unique opportunity to learn from those who are shaping the future of STEAM in our community.
