Join us for an inspiring and creative evening as we celebrate Black History Month in the Faculty of Science and Engineering!
What to expect:
🎤 Thought-provoking talks by Black heritage students and academics
🤝 Speed-friending: Make new connections in a relaxed, welcoming space
🖊️ Zine-making: explore and express what it means to be Black in STEM, and take home your own zine or poster
🎶 A live music performance from our staff and students!
📣 Learn about upcoming events, networks, and initiatives that can support you both at UoM and in the city
🍽️ Complimentary food and drinks
While this event centres Black heritage students, we warmly welcome anyone interested in learning more about Black histories and identities in STEM.
This event is open to all students (undergraduate and postgraduate) studying or researching a STEM degree.
