Dr. R. Drew Smith will provide a overview of the history of The Black Church as an intergenerational cornerstone of the Black Community and then moderate a panel discussion concerning the challenges facing the Black Church today. The panels will include intergenerational perspectives from lay members in the church and people that are outside a faith-based community. The objective is to inform members of the clergy of how the church was and what the church might need to be going forward.
