Join us as we discuss The Power of Storytelling!
The Bowie Diversity Committee invites community members to join the next #BowieSpeaks – Community Conversation in celebration of Black History Month.
This special event will take place on Thursday, February 19 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Bowie City Hall , and will explore the theme:
“The Power of Storytelling: Black Voices in Literature and Poetry.”
In honor of Black History Month, the conversation will highlight the transformative role of storytelling in amplifying Black voices, preserving cultural memory, and inspiring connection through literature and poetry. Through open dialogue, we’ll celebrate creative expression, lived experiences, and the ways Black storytellers continue to shape culture, identity, and community.
