Join us on Sunday, February 23, at 3:00 PM for a special screening of the 2024 film Shirley, starring Regina King. This intimate portrayal of Shirley Chisholm, the first Black Congresswoman and presidential candidate, is based on conversations Ms. Chisholm had with her family, friends and those who knew her well. The movie will be shown in Room 115 of the Southfield Parks & Recreation Building.
The film is rated PG-13 (for strong language including racial slurs, brief violence and some smoking.)
