Black Girls RUN! Nation Meetup at Detroit Free Press 2025
Come join us for a fun and empowering meetup at Mix Bricktown (M!X)! This in-person event is your chance to connect with fellow Black girls who love to run and are ready to encourage you from the start to the finis line. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, everyone is welcome!
Get ready to enjoy our meetup event as we celebrate and get ready to lace up your sneakers, hit the pavement, and enjoy a great race event the next day in Detroit.
Let's support each other, push our limits, and have a blast together. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to be part of the Black Girls RUN! Nation community. See you there!
Your $55 ticket will cover entry into the event, lemonade or punch, your meal, dessert and the giveaways during the event. Any additional food or beverages (including alcohol) will be at your own expense.
Before we open up the dance floor, we will also have a chat n' chew during dinner with guest speaker, Dr. John Flack from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Flack is a hypertension specialist who focuses on researching disease burden, emerging treatment options, and key issues in hypertension therapeutics. He will come talk to us about the things we can be doing in our own lives and communities to make sure we are leading by example to move towards healthier lifestyles.
