Black Girl Receive: July Summer Gathering

Giving and receiving is a two-way exchange. For many of us, it can be a challenge to allow ourselves to receive. We turn down help when it would actually benefit us to be supported. What would happen if we allowed ourselves to receive as much, if not more, than we give? What would happen if we believed that joy and abundance was our birthright?

In the summer season, nature is abundant, thriving and ready to give. We invite you to RECEIVE the fresh air and sunshine all around you + the LOVE and support from our BWIN community.

Join Black Women in Nature for our Black Girl Receive Gathering on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 10 am - 3 pm as we explore the challenges with receiving, and the importance of allowing ourselves to receive as much as we give. This event will include gentle yoga, meditation, dance, reflective dialogue, creative writing/journaling , a guided hike through nature, and a fresh catered meal.

This event is open to women and gender expansive people of color.

What to expect:

The majority of the experience will take place indoors and about 90 minutes will take place outdoors, hiking an easy to moderate trail. We will have a few yoga mats available but you should also bring your own if you have one.
