We are excited to introduce the 2nd Annual Chatham-Kent Black Excellence Awards
(BEA) and Gala, hosted by Buxton National Historic Site & Museum and Buxton's Next Generation, on March 1st, 2025 at 6:00pm hosted at the Retro Suites, Derby Room in Chatham.
The Black Excellence Award and Gala is about recognizing the outstanding
accomplishments of our community, providing us the opportunity to celebrate our
culture and community advocates. To celebrate how far we have come, applaud the
now and elevate the future generations.
This formal gala will be the backdrop and crowning moment of Chatham-Kent’s Black
History Month. Attendees from all cultures will come together to remember and celebrate the culturally overdue struggles of our past and blaze new socially responsible trails.
This is a Black Tie event, so dress in your best!
Doors open at 6:00pm
Tickets include a full meal. A Cash bar will be available, and ID will be required for alcohol service.
DJ Struggz Entertainment will be spinning your favourite tunes following the awards ceremony. So bring your dancing shoes!
You will receive 1 drink ticket upon entry for our specialty signature BEA cocktail
Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE
All funds raised from the Black Excellence Awards & Gala will be used towards the continued preservation and education of Black History within our community.
