We welcome back the popular Summer Series, running along scenic country lanes, starting and finishing at our training ground on Pirnhow Street. The race is mostly on-road but with a hard-wearing path at the end, leading back onto the field.Races start: at 7.00pm. Most marshals will be stood down 90 minutes after the race start. If you feel you may take longer, please wear a hi-viz/reflective bib and head/body torch, and be aware that there may not be crowds at the finish. The tail runner will remain with the last runner to ensure safe return to BARC.
Running tops must not be removed for the duration of the race. Anyone not complying may be disqualified.
The 2025 dates to put in your diary are:
Race 1 – 18th June
Race 2 – 16th July
Parking: Parking will be available at race HQ.
Number collection: Race numbers will be available to pick up from race HQ from 6.00pm.
Last minute entries: You may enter the race up to 5 minutes before the start, but only via Total Race Timing. The Club can not take last minute entries at race HQ.
Bag drop: There will be no bag drop – the car park is close to the start/finish so please leave your belongings in your car. BBDRC take no responsibility for any items left in your vehicle or at race HQ.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee, cakes will be available to buy, on the field.
Facilities: You will have access to toilets on-site but not changing facilities.
Headphones: No headphones or earbuds will be permitted at these races (this includes bone-conducting headphones). Anyone wearing headphones of any type will be disqualified.
Medals: all runners will receive a medal after each race if they would like one.
Prizes: Please stay for the prize-giving at the end of each race – there will be prizes for the first, second and third male and female runners.
Trophy age categories: 15-17, M-Open, F-Open, M-40+, F-40+, M-50+, F-50+, M-60+, F-60+, M-70+, F-70+
Unfortunately we can not allow dogs on site except assistance dogs
