We are so excited to kick off National Black Children's Books Week in the Great state of Oklahoma! What is Black children's book Week?
Black Children's Book Week is a global celebration of Black children and the people who ensure Black children are represented in books and other children's media. The week is administered by Black Baby Books, a platform that makes it easier to discover children's books with Black characters.
Founded by entrepreneur and children's book author Veronica N. Chapman—and administered by Black Baby Books, LLC, a platform she launched to make it easier to discover children's books with Black characters—Black Children's Book Week will start every year on the last Sunday in February.
Isn't this GREAT?! ABSOLUTELY.
We have a week FULL of events with authors, giveaways activities. Black authors will be featured at the library listed below. If you are interested in sharing your book, please let us know.
