Originally launched in 2018, the Boston Black Restaurant Challenge was the vision of State Representative Chynah Tyler, representing the 7th Suffolk District, whose goal is to celebrate Black History Month through economically empowering Boston’s Black-owned restaurants. This effort uplifts their cultural richness while connecting them with residents and visitors eager to explore them.
