About this Event

A day Writing and Experimental Project Imagining Alternate Realities for Blackness, a vital workshop to explore and celebrate Black identity. Facilitated by writer and educator Ayokunle Falomo, artist scholar RUEROB, and Houston Poet Laureate, Aris Kian.

We turn the solitary act of writing into a shared experience by offering literary Programming to Uplift, Connect, and Share


A day Writing and Experimental Project Imagining Alternate Realities for Blackness,” will be hosted by SAiD Institute. This interactive writing workshop and experimental project will be facilitated by renowned writers and educators Ayokunle Falomo and Aris Kian. Arts and culture will be central to this project, infused through writing workshops, public art installations, and interactive sessions that engage participants in exploring Black identity and cultural expression.


The goals of the project are to foster community justice, empower diverse creators within the African Diaspora, and reimagine the relationship between Black bodies and the environment.
