Welcome to the Black Belt Ramble!
Landmarks Foundation annual architectural tour – The Black Belt Ramble – will bring us to Camden area, for a closer look at antebellum houses and dependency buildings, enslaved dwellings, kitchens, laundries, and smoke houses, usually not open to the public. Your guide Cartledge Blackwell, a Black Belt native and historian, will highlight personal decorative art collections, period gardens, and discuss the significance of the Black contribution to our mutual history and period architecture.
