Black Belfast: Queen's Quarter - horror & true crime walking tour TAKE A WALK ON THE DARK SIDE!
Join Alternative Ulstours' 'Master of the Macabre' Andrew Johnston on a devilishly informative and shockingly entertaining walking tour of Belfast's Queen's Quarter.
Dare you stalk the streets and uncover the grisly secrets of this historic area of the city?
• The 'very rude' ghost of the Belfast Empire
• The Frankenstein Chronicles on Upper Crescent
• Queen's Film Theatre: a haven for horror
• The haunting of the Queen's University library
• Supernatural shenanigans in Room 006A
• Queen's dark alumni: from a deadly doctor to modern-day monsters
• The Ulster Museum: a mummy, a 'cryptid' and Irish dinosaurs!
• Creepy tales from Friar's Bush Graveyard
• An abnormal presence beneath university buildings
• X-rated activities in the Queen's science department
• The Belfast church that harboured an alleged serial killer
• 'Black magic', institutional abuse and Belfast's tragic 'lost boys'
• When Dracula 'staked' out the Lyric Theatre
Please note:
• The walking tour starts outside the Belfast Empire on Botanic Avenue in the Queen's Quarter in Belfast city centre, where your guide will be waiting for you
• Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time
• The tour will last three hours and cover around two miles on mainly flat, even ground
• The route is fully accessible, but please inform us in advance of any mobility issues
• The tour ends at the Lyric Theatre on Ridgeway Street in the Queen's Quarter in Belfast
• The tour will go ahead in all weathers, so please dress accordingly and stay hydrated
• There are public toilets near the start and end points, and we can make a toilet stop approximately halfway through the tour if required
• There will also be an optional refreshment stop approximately halfway through the tour (refreshments at own cost)
• Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the tour
• Your guide is a Level 4 'blue badge' tour guide and Visit Belfast industry partner
