About This Artist:
Khinuu Nefer is a professional West African/Caribbean dancer, choreographer, and founder of Afrique Ngozi Dance and Drum Inc. Based in Palm Beach County, Khinuu has over a decade of dance experience and teaches weekly West African Dance classes in Lake Worth, FL. Her company, Afrique Ngozi (“Africa’s Blessings”), is the only long-running West African Dance class in the county. Khinuu has choreographed for the Miami Children’s Dance Theater’s production of The Lion King Jr. and performs regularly with Bamidele Dance of African Arts. Dedicated to enriching the community through dance, she is working to establish her company as a non-profit organization.
