DEMONSTRATION EVENT.
Chef Valentine Kitamura and Mixologist Jake Konrad from Proof Cocktails, are pairing up to offer you a unique menu of summer bites, perfectly accompanied by refreshing crafted drinks!
All dishes and drinks will be demonstrated or explained during the event and you will go home with printed recipes for food and drinks. No subsitution possible. Must be 19 + to attend. please plan for a safe ride after event!
On the menu tonight:
Mezze platter:
- Warm olives, red peppers, and preserved lemon appetizer
- Whipped feta with fresh herbs
- Freshly baked yogurt flatbread (no yeast)
Cocktail pairing: Marianito
This is a Spanish Aperitif cocktail. Sweet, Rich, and Full-bodied.
Gin, Sweet Vermouth, Orange Juice, Olive brine, Angostura Bitters, Orange twist and green olive garnish.
Cioppino: classic Italian seafood stew, clams, mussels, shrimps and white fish, in a fragrant tomato seafood broth and notes of fennel. Topped with a parsley-olive gremolata. Served with crusty sourdough bread.
Cocktail pairing: Squisita
This is a Riff on a martini. Savoury, herbal, and dry.
Vodka, Prosecco Syrup, Dry Vermouth, Salt, Expressed Lemon, and Basil-Olive oil garnish
Yuzu cheesecake with black sesame crust. Enjoy the refreshing taste of the Japanese citrus, a cross between lemon and mandarin, in a creamy dessert.
Cocktail pairing: Matcha Yuzu
Inspired from a Gimlet. Citrus, Herbal, and Sweet.
Whiskey, Vanilla, Yuzu Syrup, Lemon Juice, Matcha, Whey.

Want to save the Eventbrite fee? You can register in person and over the phone directly with the store (604) 939-6200. Payment is required when you register - visa, MasterCard, gift certificates are accepted over the phone, cash and debit in person.
We have a 72 hours cancelation policy. If you need to cancel but have not given 72 hours notice, no refund, transfer to another class or credit will be issued, but you can send somebody in your place.
In the event that not enough participants are registered, we would have to cancel the class. We will notify registered participants at least 48 hrs prior and issue a full refund.
Please inquire prior to booking if there are any food allergy concern. No substitions will be offered without prior warning.
