Formerly called ArborFest and Buffalo Stomp, Bison & Blossoms combines two annual events into one celebration of Frisco’s prairies and natural areas. Help plant a new tree at Frisco Commons Park with the Frisco Garden Club and Frisco City Councilmembers. Explore a forest with a guided trail tour followed by a seed stomp that plants native wildflowers and grasses. A special community experience for all ages and abilities, Bison & Blossoms brings the community together to build awareness for Frisco’s urban forests and inspire preservation and conservation efforts throughout the Blackland Prairie in Frisco and the surrounding region.Event Schedule
9 a.m. – Certificate of recognition and introduction (Mayor or City Council), followed by a tree planting
9:45 a.m. – Guided trail tour through Frisco Commons Park and seed stomp in the north prairie
10:30 a.m. – Live animal demonstrations and educational tabling
**Bison and Blossoms will go on rain or shine. If the north meadow is too muddy, all activities and demonstrations will take place near the splash pad at the park.
