In this class we will make and eat two West Virginia staples, biscuits and corn bread. We'll explore different corn bread camps: yellow vs. white corn meal, sweetened or not, all corn meal or corn meal and wheat flour. Biscuit dough basics will be practiced by making buttermilk biscuits. Mary Smakula is an enthusiastic home baker in Montrose, WV. She enjoys sharing baking skills and kitchen science with others.
