About this Event
Welcome to the Birthing Justice Film Screening and Panel! Join us at The Gathering Spot ATL for an eye-opening event that explores the intersection of race, class, and gender in maternal healthcare. Birthing Justice is a documentary film that captures the experiences and challenges of Black women, their families, caretakers, and advocates, and examines the structures and systems that determine disparate rates of mortality. This pivotal film and panel celebrates the efforts to fix America’s broken medical system and transform this narrative of tragedy into one of hope.
