Early Childhood Providers are invited to attend this workshop to learn about the Birth to 3 Early Literacy Essentials. In addition to the training and MiRegistry training credits, each attendee will receive a literacy kit with books and literacy materials for their program.
This workshop will share research-supported literacy practices. We will focus on practices in individual interactions with children, particularly infants and toddlers, as the first 3 years of life are when children learn the fastest and acquire the foundational skills that will support their development and learning for the rest of their lives. Improving language and literacy experiences in the infant and toddler years has the potential to improve "reading by third grade" outcomes. As an early childhood provider, you can help address disparities in literacy achievement.
