Birth Conversations - Rewriting the story

This free event hosted by the Sacred Birth Centre is to focus on sharing conversation and ideas linked to birth and ways to transform the landscape of birthing in the UK. Bringing our hopes and our curiosity to a forward thinking and innovative collaborative space.
This event is curated for individuals with experience in childbirth, whether as parents or professionals in the birth sector, to gather and engage in conversation. It provides an opportunity to share experiences, discuss the challenges related to birth trauma, and collaboratively envision what trauma-free births could be like.
The primary goal is to unite individuals with diverse experiences and backgrounds for meaningful conversations about the birth journey.
The day will have different discussion sessions. During the morning there will be a World Cafe style discussions in small groups. This will help to warm up our curiosity through small group discussions of clearly focused questions. This is designed to encourage open discussion, share diverse perspectives and foster collaboration on a specific topic or issue.
Lunch and refreshments - these are provided at no cost. We ask that you let us know whether you have any dietary requirements as part of the RSVP.
Afternoon session - there will be a focused discussion activity including a small panel, that will bring us all together to share insights, experiences and visions for birthing and a trauma free birth in particular. It is our hope that this will be all the more connected, flowing and effective as a result of the World Cafe session. We will support participants to feel comfortable and included to participate in conversation, sharing their valuable input. The panel will be a relaxed one and will provide the impetus for discussion/conversations (not a conventional panel of 'experts' as everyone who participates is an 'expert' we feel!)
There will be a concluding summing up at the end to support further potential collaborative work for the future.
