About this Event
The decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade is a devastating blow for women in the USA and across the world, especially poor women with access to reproductive health care being denied to millions of women with immediate effect. This regressive move has sent shock waves across the world highlighting the fragility of the tremendous progress achieved by past struggles.
Building on the successful solidarity protest in the city centre recently which was attended by over 100 women and their supporters, Birmingham Abortion Rights Group is to hold a ‘Strengthening the Campaign’ day. Workshops will be led on different aspects of the campaign, including buffer zones in the city, decriminalisation, the use of telemedicines, as well as discussion on the current campaigns from Ireland and the North of Ireland.
