Friends of Melville Bird Sanctuary invite you to join our first birdwatching walk for 2026, commencing 8am on Sunday 18 January from the Bird Viewing platform at the entrance to Troy Park (opp 194 Burke Drive, Attadale). Please be there around 7.50am to complete registration. The walk will be led by Lesley Macauley from Birdlife WA.
At this time of year (Oct to March) we have the great privilege of seeing numbers of migratory birds, who travel a L O N G way to feed on mudflats in our area. Take in the lovely views as well as our birdlife, all from a safe distance away.
Please bring sunscreen, a bottle of water and a pair of binoculars. We'll have some spare pairs of binoculars on hand including children's binoculars. Please wear closed shoes.
We look forward to seeing you there!
