Our group donations helped rescue this magnificent wetland from intensive farmland. Winter thrushes, wildfowl and waders should be building, plus Marsh harrier, possible Hen harrier, Bittern and Short-eared owl. Three hides but no toilets. Level but lengthy walking. Meet: car park, SP 570 126 (RSPB members free on displaying membership card, others £2). From Abingdon Arms pub, Beckley (OX3 9TD), take Otmoor Lane downhill for 1 mile to car park. Space limited: car-share if possible and do not park on lane.
