• Basic Bird Photography - Birds on the Wing
• Basic Bird Photography - Perching Birds
• Ideal Bird Photography Camera Setup
• Two hours of private, up close bird photography.
Students should have a camera, lens(es), charged battery and empty memory card(s).
Since we will be able to be very close to the birds, any lens from portrait length (70mm on Full frame, 50mm on Crop) to telephoto (200mm+) is usable. A 70-200mm, 24-105mm, 55-200mm or similar are great all around options. Longer telephotos like a 200-500mm will also be helpful for isolating the bird against the background.
This class is suitable for photographers of all skill levels. The “classroom/lecture” portion will cover everything you need to know to get good photos of the birds.
The day will start with a short classroom/lecture session covering bird photography basics followed by two hours of photography with the birds.
This class will be held at the Precision Camera Studio.
Schedule and Format
The class will start with a short introduction covering bird photography. We will spend the majority of the two hours with the birds, learning about and photographing them up close.
