Super-hot UK creator CROM will be in-store on Friday 16th September, 7-9pm, to launch his latest collaboration with writer Daniel Freedman, Birdking Vol 01! We're working with CROM to pull all the stops out on this one: a window painting, two exclusive prints and a bookplate. A feast of CROM!
Impressive out the gate when he started self-publishing back in 2014, CROM has only gone from strength to strength, showcased in then fantasy graphic novel Raiders, his previous collaboration with Freedman. With a distinctive style fusing US, European and Japanese comics cultures, he has a natural flair for design and draftmanship.
Publisher Dark Horse describes Birdking as "an original dark fantasy graphic novel of epic adventure and magic.
Bianca, teenage apprentice to an infamous arcane blacksmith, is forced to flee her homeland and seek out Atlas, a fabled land of light ruled by "the clean god." She is joined by a mysterious guardian spirit known only as the "BirdKing." Together they will have to overcome dozens of enemies to reach Atlas and along the way, unravel the mystery of the BirdKing and their ancestral connection."
As a part of the launch CROM has kindly worked with us to create not one, but two limited edition signed prints! Each is limited to just 50 copies. Prints are A3 on 175gsm colorplan bright white paper.
Limited to just 200 copies, the Gosh!-exclusive plates feature an all-new image, and are signed by CROM.
