Join Citrus County Parks and Recreation for an immersive Birding with Parks experience led by Florida Naturalist and Recreation Program Specialist, Alice Mary Herden. You will have the opportunity to explore the unique and diverse habitats of various locations while taking guided nature walks to observe and learn about the fascinating array of bird species that inhabit these areas. Our birding adventure will take place at Ozello Community Park, located at 410 N. Pirate Point in Crystal River. This is an ideal spot to observe ospreys and coastal wading birds.
To ensure an enjoyable experience outdoors, we recommend bringing water, snacks, and any other essential items you may need. There is a portable toilet at Ozello Community Park, but please be aware that the terrain is uneven limestone. However, you won't have to walk too much. Feel free to bring a chair, a hat, and bug spray so you can relax and enjoy some bird discussions!
