Everyone is welcome on this trip, whether you're a seasoned birder or a brave beginner! Learn birding basics such as equipment options, bird ID strategies, and the many free resources that can help you learn even more.

Join us for a visit to the newest park in Salinas! This special park was developed in conjunction with the neighboring community and was spearheaded by the Big Sur Land Trust. More habitat restoration work is underway, and this spot will shortly be one of the best birding spots in Salinas! We'll have the opportunity to scan the skies for raptors, check on the new landscaping plants, and explore the wild, native plant area. This trip will introduce participants to various resources that are available to learn about birds, commonly seen local birds and tips and tricks to identify them, plus guidance on how to locate and observe birds no matter where you are!
We have binoculars to lend out for the field trip. Just let us know when you register! Big Sur Land Trust staff will be present to assist and will be bringing snacks to share. Thank you, BSLT!
