Description: Birding at Woodard Bay Conservation Area is especially appropriate for beginning and intermediate birders. Habitats include mixed evergreen and deciduous forest, tidal stream, and shoreline.Meeting location: From Olympia, take Boston Harbor Road north, then right on Woodard Bay Road, crossing Libby Road. There is a small parking area requiring a Discover Pass on the left just before crossing the bridge over Woodard Bay; or drive across the bridge and up the hill to a county parking lot that does not require a Discover Pass — a short walk down to the lower parking lot.
For this location, bring your own breakfast or snack to eat on the trail.
