Meet at Semiahmoo County Park Parking lot.
February is usually an exciting time to bird Semiahmoo and Drayton Harbor. As the weather allows, we will plan to walk the length of the spit from the park to the north end checking the beaches, harbor and marina for wintering and resident birds. The walk totals about 3.5 miles. Please check the forecast and dress for the weather. We can usually find over forty species of birds including about fifteen species of ducks, two of geese, three different grebes, three loons, several species of shorebirds and three of gulls, plus a few others and a good number of passerines along the way.
Please join us. We welcome birders of all skill levels including those just getting started. Participants are urged to ask questions and for assistance as needed. Hope to see you there.
