About this Event
Join Nature Calgary for a bird walk on St. Patrick's Island on November 30th, 2024 and observe the fascinating variety of birds found in their natural habitat.
Please note that this event will run 11:30am - 1:30pm
We are on the look out for woodpeckers, eagles, winter waterfowl, and late migrants. We'll talk about some of the history of the island, some of the changes it's gone through and maybe even spot one of the beavers or mink that frequent the Island!
Our knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights about the birds and other wildlife you encounter and talk about their behaviours, making this a great educational opportunity for nature enthusiasts of all ages.
We will have binoculars available for participants who don't have them. Space is limited so don't miss your chance to discover the beauty and diversity of Calgary's birdlife on this exciting nature walk!
These walks are presented in partnership between East Village and Nature Calgary, with all registration fees being donated directly to Nature Calgary.
All walks will start and end at the East Village Headquarters, located directly north of 656 Confluence Way SE on the RiverWalk pathway.
