Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a trip to the Lake Lowell's Lower Dam, which is part of the Deer Flat NWR. We will drive along the edge of the dam, visiting the Lower Dam Canal Outlet, and ending the trip at Lion's Pond. At the Lower Dam, we'll be scoping for Cackling Geese amongst the more common Canada Geese, and Ross's Geese mixed in with the Snow Geese. We'll also keep an eye out for Bald Eagles in the trees at the west end of the dam. At the Lower Dam Canal Outlet, we'll be on the lookout for wintering shorebirds, kestrels, and songbirds in the Russian olives. The last stop is Lion's Pond, where we hope to find Black-crowned Night Herons, ducks, and songbirds. All three locations are within about a one mile radius.

Recently reported species can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L109178
