We will be exploring the hiking/dirt trails near Lake Lodge in Swope Park on Oakwood Road, in Kansas City, MO. This is a dirt trail, but we will also be walking along the one-way road to search for Pileated Woodpeckers, nuthatches and other species. We will park in the parking lot within and next to Lake Lodge. Experienced and novice birders are welcome! Please bring your own binoculars, and we will have a few extras on hand. Wear warm clothes. This walk is dependent on weather. Please check the Burroughs Facebook page as well as the website for weather updates.Your host for this field trip is Sally Urdang, a Master Naturalist with the Osage Trails chapter.
