About this Event
Join us for a walk among lovely maritime hammock and salt marsh habitats with a diversity of birds. We hope to see a variety of birds including Reddish Egrets, migratory ducks, Bald Eagle, American White Pelican (winter), Clapper Rail, Barred Owl, Wild Turkey, Pine Warbler and Brown-headed Nuthatch. Over 20 species of wood-warbler have been recorded in the park during spring and fall migration, including Blue-winged, Cape May and Tennessee.
Bring bugspray, water and a hat!
A Park Ranger or two may join us for the walk if they are available, which is always a delight!
Bathrooms are available.
Meet us at the Boat Ramp for the start of the walk at 8:30 AM.
Note: The gate to Faver Dykes opens at 8:00 AM, which will give you time to find the Boat Ramp by 8:30 AM. There ia a $5 charge per car via the self-pay honor box at the front gate.
