Take a melodic journey and discover the art of identifying birds by their songs on a morning walk along Oxbow's trails.
About this Event

Join Dawn Huss, Oxbow's resident restoration specialist and bird enthusiast, for a delightful morning walk along Oxbow's trails as we tune into the songs of various birds. Before we set out, Dawn will discuss essential tools that help inform bird identification by sound. If you have binoculars, bring them along; we also have a few pairs available for sharing. Additionally, consider bringing a portable bird guide or downloading an app like Merlin or Audubon to enrich your learning experience.

This workshop is intended for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Dawn Huss serves as Oxbow's Restoration Specialist and Volunteer Coordinator and has enjoyed birding for 20 years. She began her birding journey after an ornithology class in college, and continues to pursue it both for pleasure and to support conservation efforts.
