About this Event
Bird song is often the most challenging aspect for a beginner birdwatcher, so allow James Lees to talk you through each one and open your ears and eyes to birds like never before. James has worked with birds for 26 years and has guided over 40 tours around the world. He is currently the superintendent of the Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
On this three-hour gentle hike, you will learn the calls and songs of a large number of migrant and resident birds and other wildlife along the way. Whether you are a beginner or have been birding for a while, everyone will find plenty of learning opportunities during this tranquil event.
The pace of the hike is moderate, and the terrain is variable. Water bottles and shoes suitable for hiking are recommended, and binoculars are essential.
All hikes begin at 8:15 am. Event information and starting location will be emailed to participants prior to the event.
$20 plus HST per person. Free parking for HCA members.
Unfortunately, dogs are not welcome to this event.
