Join us for this monthly series observing and identifying the birds of Belle Isle! Location within the island will vary by month according to where the birds are. Detailed directions for parking will be provided with registration. A limited number of binoculars are available for loan, and a spotting scope will be available for viewing when appropriate. All skill levels welcome.
October's program will meet at the Oakway Trailhead. This is a flat, partially paved loop trail approximately 1.3 miles in total.
November's program will meet at the Ralph Wilson Gateway Trail, which is an approximately 1-mile loop, flat but unpaved.
December's program will meet at the first parking area just past the toll booth, and we will caravan to several spots to view waterbirds on the river and canals.
Preregistration is required. This is a free offsite event. A Recreation Passport [https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/buy-and-apply/rec-pp] is required to enter Belle Isle Park.
