Belle Isle is a fantastic habitat for birds year-round. Join us for our monthly walks to observe and identify migratory and resident birds of the island. We'll take time to discuss their identifying features, their habitats and what makes them unique. All skill levels are welcome. A limited number of binoculars are available for loan.
This is a free, offsite event. A Recreation Passport [https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/buy-and-apply/rec-pp] is required to enter Belle Isle Park.
Preregistration is required.
Our May program will meet in the parking area off of Woodside Drive, near Lake Okonoka. The trail is flat and paved or boardwalk.
Our June program will meet in the parking area off of Woodside Drive, near Lake Okonoka. The trail is flat and paved or boardwalk.
Our July program will meet in the parking area near the Ralph Wilson Gateway and Trail. The trail is flat and unpaved.
Our August program will meet in the parking area near the Ralph Wilson Gateway and Trail. The trail is flat and unpaved.
