About this Event
Bird is the Word: Spring Migration at Red Rocks with Women in Sustainability!
Join us as we embark on a guided birding adventure at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado with our favorite bird nerd, Jack Strobel, an Audubon Master Birder! Spring migration is in full swing, and these winged wonders are making a pit stop at one of the most iconic natural amphitheaters in the world. Who knew Red Rocks was more than just a great place for concerts and overpriced beers?
This is an easy, family-friendly hike (so no need to train like you’re climbing a 14er), but space is very limited—if we fill up, be sure to join the waitlist and we'll expand if we can!
What to Bring:
✅ Hiking shoes – This is a chill walk, but flip-flops and birding don’t mix.
✅ Binoculars – Because squinting at a tiny speck in the sky and calling it an eagle is less fun. We'll have a couple extra pairs if you don't have any.
✅ Sunscreen – No need to leave looking like a lobster.
✅ Weather-appropriate clothing – Layers, friends. Colorado weather changes faster than a bird in flight.
✅ Water & snacks – Birding burns more calories than you’d expect. Stay hydrated and snack-happy.
Who’s Invited:
👫 Partners and kids (as long as they can stay quiet—birds spook easily, and so do birders), but please register each person for our headcount.
🚫 No pets – We love them, but the birds do not.
This is a once-a-season kind of experience, so grab your binoculars, bring your best bird puns, and join us for a morning of avian magic! Spots are limited, so register now or hop on the waitlist! ✨
