Birding at Oro Vista Park with Feminist Bird Club LA

Feminist Bird Club Los Angeles invites you to join us for some relaxing evening birding! This is a beginner-friendly event and all are welcome, especially LGBTQ and BIPOC-identifying folks, people with disabilities, and women.

We will be walking about one quarter of a mile on a dirt trail, stopping at an overlook of the creek before sitting by the river to chill and relax. Bring a picnic blanket and some snacks as well as comfortable footwear for walking. There is limited shade, so please bring water and sun protection.

• Please bring binoculars if you have them. We also have extra binoculars and are happy to lend them out!

• PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: Navigate to Oro Vista Park,11101 Oro Vista Ave, Sunland, CA 91040. If you plan on staying later, park on Grove St. The gate at the park closes at sunset. We will meet at the trail head at the end of Grove at approximately (34.2705525, -118.3178505)
  
• ACCESSIBILITY: We will be traveling an uneven dirt path with slight incline, as well as visiting the creek and walking on cobbles and river rocks.
