About this Event

Join an up with the birds walk through meadow habitats to learn about Duke Farms restoration efforts that have supported our bird of the month, and the New Jersey state bird, the American Goldfinch! We will also be birding for the other species that rely on meadows for habitat. Thanks to these restoration efforts many bird species utilize this habitat for nesting sites and food sources. Learn about how vital these ecosystems are to bird populations, why restoration is important and how Duke Farms did it! Participants will also learn basic birding skills such as using binoculars, field guides, and community science apps like eBird and Merlin.
