New and experienced birders are invited to sharpen their skills with the Rio Brazos Audubon Society. Learn to identify birds by sight and sound, use field guides and binoculars, and explore the native and migratory species of the Brazos Valley. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.Classes meet at the Gary Halter Nature Center and include hikes on Lick Creek Park trails. Dress for the outdoors and wear closed-toed shoes. Binoculars are available to borrow. The program is made possible by Rio Brazos Audubon Society volunteers’ dedication for more than a decade.
Classes meet Saturday, Feb. 7, March 7, April 4 and May 2, from 8:30–9:30 a.m., or longer depending on the group, at the Gary Halter Nature Center.
